How the directory is prepared

Station records begin with the community-maintained Radio Browser directory. RadyoHub filters out entries that the directory reports as inactive, removes duplicate listings by station identity and location, and preserves alternative stream addresses when duplicate records provide useful fallbacks.

The directory is stored as a local snapshot so the station list remains available when a public API mirror is slow. A successful background refresh replaces that snapshot with newer checked records.

How playback reliability is handled

Radio streams do not all use the same format. RadyoHub checks direct HTTPS streams first, resolves common PLS, M3U, XSPF, and ASX playlists, and can try alternate addresses associated with the same station. HLS streams remain available where the listener's browser supports them.

A station can still be temporarily unavailable because RadyoHub does not control the station server, geographic restrictions, certificates, codecs, or internet routing. The player reports an error only after its available stream candidates have been exhausted.

Listings, ranking, and independence

Station names, logos, locations, tags, and vote totals come from public directory records or the station provider. Community vote totals are used for ranking; they are not endorsements, audience measurements, or paid placements. Favorites are stored on the listener's device and do not change public rankings.

RadyoHub does not host, rebroadcast, edit, or insert audio into station streams. It is not affiliated with a listed station unless that relationship is stated explicitly.

Corrections and removals

Station owners and rights holders can request a listing correction, logo update, stream replacement, or removal. Visit the contact and station corrections page for the information needed to identify a listing.
